Recently, IO Media staff attended for the first time, the annual Greater Bay Area Journalism Awards dinner awards event hosted by San Francisco Press Club. It was held at the posh top floor Julia Morgan Ballroom with San Francisco glamour night as the theme dress code. The tables were full and many various press media outlets from radio, television, newspaper, magazines and video tv attended awaiting their turns at receiving awards from 1st to 3rd place in different categories.
Luckily for newbies — IO Media channel was awarded 1st place for Videography in Video Television for Charlie Chaplin Contest video, an event held annually in the historical Niles district, wherein silent movies like those of Chaplin began. The old theater which was renovated since those silent days is still there and the commercial street is a touristy spot for old town America fans. It also has other public events that recur every year.
The night was fruitful and rewarding for IO Media winning this prestigious award! This will hopefully continue ongoing in this area and category, to strive and continue for quality content in recording the live public events.
