Video Television Movie = VidTVie

Social media platforms brought in the idea and practise of instant ‘anyone can be media and subject’ thanks to the global internet and equipment with free American applications:  YouTube, Facebook, Google, WordPress and Instagram.  Mass telecommunication became easier globally!  People also often used themselves as both the camera and the subject person with their ‘selfie’ videos posted for public viewing.

From hobbyists to professionals, merging the video, television and movie industries with this easiness of being free to view and cheaper costs of equipment including cameras, editing softwares, and viewing devices from smart tvs, computers, tablets and mobile phones — a new hybrid has arisen — the vidtvie a combination of video, television and movie.  A lot of individuals are now famous social media celebrities and brand ambassadors for startups with short scripted and acted videos viewed on computers and mobile phones. Television is also changing because of American internet based platforms and hdmi devices and smart tvs, such as:  Roku, Amazon Fire, Google Android and Apple. Independent film and movie festivals are probably already receiving submissions that may have started as video.  Viewing from a 5 inch mobile phone to a 50 inch television to a 50 feet movie screen might just be a quality adjustment in the medium.  Those in the 3 industries would need to convert for quality and format to accommodate the differences in the screen sizes.
